Photos from Steven

Steven Kuharchuk sent me these photos today, most of them are him, there are a couple others as well. I guess Steve is back in Fort St. James working, riding and getting awesome. We are putting together a small contingent of Alaskans for the team, but I always like to wait until I have clips to announce who it is.

Shawn Hoffarth

I did this interview with Shawn a little while ago, I think it came out well although I seem to have some capitalization issues. I went out to Knik and played in the foam with some of the locals here on Saturday. Foam pits, although cheating, are about the funnest thing ever. I learned that I really suck at backflips, and spent most of my time trying to do a turndown; it was awesome. I'll have video up from that sometime as I shot a bunch to test out the 24p format on my DVX.

Finally a picture.

Zac shot this photo of Brian like a week ago and then a day later he broke his elbow (Brian, not Zac). Brian is from Anchorage and for some reason everyone calls him Compton, which Zac thinks is his middle name or something... We built some really nice jumps the other day at the trails including the ever so popular over-under setup as seen at Ninth Street or whatever those trails are in Seattle. Evan Scott if you're out there I'm filming as much trails as possible for the next vid. And Zac if you're reading this I assume it's ok to put the photo up.... I just finished a great interview with Shawn Hoffarth; it will be up this week.

p.s. if you're into The Office, check this out:
http://blog.nbc.com/CreedThoughts/2007/05/13-week/
It's Creed's blog from "The Job", Creed being the greatest television character currently being projected into homes and the blog storyline being one of the better Creed moments of this season. OK, that's really it.

BK mixtape

http://www.vimeo.com/clip:188795

I think Tyzee did all the editing, but I'm taking credit for teaching how to cross dissolve. The sections are as follows:

Matt Ridgeway/Chris Curran
Mix
Tyzee/Brent Webb

This is probably the best video I've ever seen, it's really awesome to see some footage of Curran, that guy shreds. Ridgeway does some fun new stuff, Tyzee is great as always and Brent Webb is a man.

This video has nothing to do with no bikes, but if all goes to plan they'll be doing something similar as a big part of this years video with hopefully a similar cast, but maybe a few different faces.

BK!

Word on the street is that a BK mixtape is about to drop. Tyzee, Brent and Ridgeway all have stuff in there, so it will be good. I'm hoping for some secret Dom Mach footage.

Trails!

I probably should have snapped a few photos, but yesterday was my first trip out to the trails this year and it was nice. Despite the extreme dustyness a pretty good session went down. The big six pack out there is really nice, perfect size and down hill; I learned that I should probably get some brakes. TJ tailwhipped the big step up and basically everything else there with little to no effort; there was definitely a pack of mountain bikers straight jumping like there's no tomorrow. Lots of little video clips are piling up on my computer, I even filmed a couple things I was pretty excited about the other day; Sally and I are a pretty good riding/filming team lately.

Justin Gair Jam

Just a reminder that the jam that Zane puts on every year is happening this weekend. I told him that I'd put this up like forever ago, but I'm a terrible web updater; I did just write a 5000 word paper on the Canadian economy though, so that's a good excuse.
